Tasting NotesRobert Parker: 91 Points
The Barbera vines used to make the 2013 Langhe Larigi were planted as early as 1948. The 2013 vintage showed a cold spring and a hot summer. As a result, the wine delivers a dark color profile and rich fruit characteristics. This Barbera is aged in oak for 18 months for extra richness. Black fruit, blackberry preserves, spice, tar and cola are part of the package. Balanced acidity serves to cut through some of the boldness of the fruit.
