Tasting NotesWine Spectator: 93 Points
This savory style stacks notes of smoked meat, gravy and molasses over a generous core of dark plum and black cherry flavors, coming together harmoniously against refined tannins on the extensive finish. Best from 2018 through 2023. 200 cases made. — HS

Made by Ross Michel and the estate's northern Rhone styled release made from 98% Syrah and 1% each of Roussanne and Viognier, the 2012 Collaboration Series II offers a high-pitched bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, violets, mint and white pepper. This medium to full-bodied effort has beautiful fruit, juicy acidity and moderate tannin, all of which allow it to offer plenty of pleasure today, yet I suspect it will be even better with 2-3 years of bottle age and have 10-15 years of overall longevity.
