Tasting NotesRobert Parker: 92 Points
Aged in barriques for a year prior to blending and bottling, the 2016 La Clape Chateau L'Hospitalet Grand Vin features aromas of vanilla and cedar to go with hints of tapenade, cola and spice. A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, it's full-bodied and open-knit, showing plenty of spicy cherries and raspberries on the palate and a rich, velvety finish. It should drink well through at least 2025.
