A potential superstar, the 2009 Pinot Noir Finn is a blend of fruit from the DuMol estate site (59%) and a vineyard on Occidental Road (41%). It boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant notes of dark, ripe raspberries, black cherries, boysenberries, forest floor and flowers, fresh acids, terrific concentration and texture, and a long finish with sweet, well-integrated tannin. None of these wines reveal any evidence of oak despite the fact they are aged in 50% new French oak barrels.
