More roasted meat, bouquet garni and raspberry scents jump from the glass of the 2009 Pinot Noir Aidan. Made entirely from Dijon clones planted in the Wild Rose Vineyard, it possesses moderate tannin and an angular, austere character that gives the wine some leanness. It should flesh out with more time in barrel, but it appears to be less promising and substantial than the Eoin or the Estate Pinot Noir.
