The tannins are quite finessed and the wine seems promising but several years of bottle age are necessary before the Roncaglie begins to show much aromatic complexity. Still, this is an impeccably crafted, firm Barbaresco that lovers of traditionally made wines are sure to enjoy. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. Grace, elegance and understatement are the hallmarks of the wines of Poderi Colla. These are never the biggest or flashiest wines, but they are always among the most enjoyable for their sheer drinkability.
