The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has closed down since I tasted it last year. Exhibiting a dense ruby/purple hue similar to the 2006's, it is restrained aromatically, but is intense on the palate, revealing full-bodied flavors (sweet black raspberries and black currants), silky tannins, beautiful fruit depth, and a long finish. It can be enjoyed over the next 15 years.
From a well-run, small operation in Sonoma, these impeccably well-made reds are fashioned by the well-known wine consultant, Mark Herold.
